Pantone has highlighted nine key trend palettes to provide interior designers and home furnishers with the colour information they will need to appeal to consumers in 2015.
"Consumer preferences, behaviours and lifestyles are constantly evolving, spawning a desire for fresh colour palettes in both home and interior design," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "While rigid colour rules have been replaced by more creative guidelines, style and colour coordination in the home remains a consistent goal. The Pantone View home + interiors 2015 forecast can validate some pre-conceived colour choices while also giving new colour inspiration and direction." These colors will be seen flowing over to Weddings of 2015.
The nine palettes for 2015 are:
This taste-making palette is all about poise, finesse and polish.
Key colours: Champagne Beige, Wood Violet, Deep Mahogany, Radiant Orchid, Steel Grey, Frosted Almond, Desert Taupe, White Alyssum
Releasing the inner artist in each of us, the styling in this palette may seem random, forming a mosaic of various shapes, many of them geometric. Key colours: Rosette, Red Dahlia, Seaport, Crushed Grape, Hazel, Apricot Illusion, Stonewash, Vineyard Green
This palette is lifted directly from the complexities of flora and foliage, forming groupings of succulent shadings counterbalanced by dusty and smoky tones.
Key colours: Antique Moss, Dusty Blue, Grape Nectar, Cafe au Lait, Orchid Mist, Vintage Violet, Orchid Smoke, Rock Ridge
This palette takes the thoughtful, meditative qualities of the blue and blue-green family to another level by adding powerful accent colours.
Key colours: Pale Gold, Silver, Eclipse, Surf the Web, Azure Blue, Blue Coral, Anemone, Sea Spray
5. Urban Jungle
Rather than consistently rough textured, contours are smooth and colours are a combination of both typical and atypical jungle hues. Warm animal skin tones set against modern shades transform rustic shade into something "civilized."
Key colours: Hydro, Bamboo, Adobe, Orange Rust, Taffy, Biscotti, Meteorite, Bright White
6. Tinted Medley
This palette is a harmonious composition of closely related, warm tones with peach and pink stealing the spotlight.

7. Past Traces
This trend honours history in the home. The look might range from gently worn to contemporized adaptations with a vintage feel.
Key colours: Pastel Parchment, Peach Beige, Cameo Green, Faded Denim, Atmosphere, Marine Blue, Dusty Cedar, Cedar Green
This palette represents the coming together of unlikely designs and unexpected colours.
Key colours: Puffin's Bill, Scarlet Sage, Magenta, Spring Crocus, Eggshell Blue, Tiger's Eye, Bright Chartreuse, Golden Glow

Key colours: Winsome Orchid, Sunkist Coral, Misty Jade, Cantaloupe, Marigold, Hyacinth, Violet Quartz, Kelly Green
